Sarah Genuario is a senior at the University of Connecticut, based in downtown Stamford, studying Digital Media & Design with a concentration in Motion Design & Animation. Her interest in digital art began in middle school and grew stronger when she attended a trade high school, where she had the opportunity to study digital media several years earlier than most.
During her time at UConn, Sarah has explored a wide range of creative tools and techniques—from motion graphics and animation to design for digital spaces. Along the way, she was introduced to 3D animation, which added another layer to her skillset and gave her new ways to approach visual storytelling.
What Sarah enjoys most is the process of shaping the look and feel of a project. Her growing focus is on art direction—developing visual styles, building cohesive design systems, and guiding creative projects from concept to completion. Through hands-on work, collaboration, and mentorship, she’s learned how to balance creativity with strategy to bring ideas to life.
As she moves forward, Sarah looks forward to opportunities in the digital media industry where she can continue building her voice as a designer and contribute to meaningful, visually engaging work.
